SCHEDULED APPEARANCE UPDATE: KENTON NIX


Kenton Nix, multi-platinum producer, writer, composer and arranger, founded PLUM Records. He is the mastermind behind the two most sampled records in modern history Heartbeat by Taana Gardner, and Funky Sensation by Gwen McRae.

Kenton was in charge of production at Atlantic Records in the early 80s where he produced Funky Sensation and wrote, produced, and arranged Gwen McRaes entire self-titled album. He later went on to become President of the world revered dance label, West End Records.

His music, just to name a few, has been used my many popular Artists and appeared in feature films including: Jennifer Lopez, Ja Rule, Biz Markie, Musiq Soulchild, Leela James, Ann Nesby, Kwame, Shinehead, LL Cool J, Ini Kamozi, SWV, De La Soul, Marky Mark, Mack 10 featuring Snoop Dogg, Lost Boyz, Father MC, DMX, Heavy D, Treacherous 3, Monifah, Black Moon, Fat Back Band, Seduction, T Ski.
