THE MORE THINGS CHANGE.....

So, I am back ! It was a hell of a weekend and there are many, many, many more to come.
The Mother's and Children's Appreciation Dinner jump-off was crazy !
BLURB Media/Promotions and Lifestyles of the G.S.S. really put it down last Saturday ! There had to be about 60-80 people who showed up ! It was bananas !
I want to give a shout out to all the guest speakers, sponsors, and families who came through. Without you all, this event could not have happened ! To see the highlights, go to Lehigh Valley Flavor (www.lehighvalleyflavor.piczo.com) and Lifestyles of the G.S.S. (www.lifestylesofthegss.piczo.com).

Now back to the business at hand...

"A Schuylkill County jury late Friday acquitted two Shenandoah teens of all serious charges in the fatal beating of an illegal immigrant from Mexico, even though the jury foreman said he considers them ''racists.''

The jury found Brandon Piekarsky, 17, not guilty of third-degree murder and voluntary and involuntary manslaughter, and Derrick Donchak, 19, not guilty of aggravated assault and assault with a deadly weapon in the attack last summer on 25-year-old Luis Ramirez.

Piekarsky and Donchak were both cleared of ethnic intimidation, and Piekarsky was also acquitted of criminal solicitation, underage drinking and reckless endangerment."

- Morning Call

Now, we know that we have modern day pirates, so would you believe this was a modern day lynching ? The MAN, not illegal immigrant, Mexican, or whatever, but human being, was literally "kicked to sleep" and the aggressors were freed.
I have read the arguments and seen the interviews. I have heard every excuse in the book, about the justification of this person's death and I have learned one thing from it all. It seems "everything" can be justified. Murder, slavery, torture, racism, and the list goes on !
Well, right now there are two fellows putting together a nationwide effort to go to Schuylkill County and show them what a PROTEST is. It's going to be a "hot" summer. Definitely...

P.S. Some of the town's people are hoping that this situation blows over, but I'm here to tell them, it won't be doing that any time soon....
