MEET THE PANELISTS of FUZION 2013: Tanya Taylor

Tanya Tyler is the owner of T. Tyler Productions, a boutique artist management,
marketing and communications group that provides strategic counseling, branding,
placement, media planning, booking and general PR solutions for industry executives,
personalities and some of the most talented gospel artists in the industry.
Ms. Tyler’s tenure in the music industry began when she worked as Host of The Video
Source, a music video show where she interviewed many popular Hip Hop and R&B
artists, including P. Diddy, Notorious BIG, Mary J. Blige, et.al. Ms. Tyler also worked as a freelance writer for several music labels, writing bios, press kits, press releases, web
content and new artist announcements.
Prior to forming T. Tyler Productions, Ms. Tyler worked as an Associate at Burson-
Marsteller, a leading corporate public relations firm, where she assisted a number of
diverse clients with marketing, investor relations, issues and reputation management,
mergers and acquisitions, change communications, brand building and crisis
management. At B-M, Tanya was an integral part of the team that helped the Royal
Norwegian Government obtain their seat on the United Nations Security Council. Ms.
Gordon wrote Norway’s monthly newsletter, The Norwegian Navigator, which was
distributed to all of the Permanent Missions to the United Nations as well as the media.
Tanya also assisted the Government of Finland with their “Invest in Finland” campaign
to build awareness of the investment opportunities in that country. Ms. Gordon assisted
the American Battle Monuments Commission with their efforts to erect the World War II Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC. This campaign received several
awards and commendations.
In 2009, Ms. Tyler launched T. Tyler Talks, an Internet radio show on the Blog Talk Radio platform. The show takes listeners on a refreshing ride through the sometimes hot and all the time tough topics often experienced but seldom discussed. With diverse guests and interesting discussion, Talks gained popularity quickly and was covered in “Page Six” of the New York Post as well as other publications. The show continued to grow and in November of 2010, Tanya launched Tough Talks, a series of live town hall-styled discussions with a hand selected panel. Past events included an exclusive discussion for Lionsgate films at the opening of Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls; A sold out discussion in DC on politics; an official discussion onstage at the Cort Theater immediately following Alicia Keys’ Stickfly with the cast, theatergoers and listeners; A discussion on black men at the ReBar indy theater in Dumbo at the opening of Men Ain’t Boys, and the list goes on. The series is very well received and events in Atlanta on religion and Chicago on violence are already in the works.
Tanya’s most rewarding accomplishment was co-founding The Project: Give Back
Community Foundation, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization which empowered
communities. For the organization, Tanya developed the Community Champions™
program, which received commendations from Former President Bill Clinton, local
politicians and the media.
Although a native New Yorker, Tanya currently lives in Macungie, Pennsylvania with her
daughter, where she enjoys the work she does as a leader in her church.
