Classical Reiki Pennsylvania


Welcome to Classical Reiki Pennsylvania. Reiki is both a spiritual practice and a healing modality. So whether you want to experience a Reiki session to bring balance into your stressed life or you want to learn to become a Reiki practitioner, take a look. Classical Reiki Pennsylvania brings the teachings and practices of Usui Reiki Ryoho to the Lehigh Valley and the Philadelphia suburbs. The teachings are consistent with modern knowledge of what the system’s founder Usui Mikao may have practiced and reflect a simple, streamlined practice. We use Japanese terminology to acknowledge the traditional origins of the system of Reiki. Our courses embody the International House of Reiki’s approach to traditional Japanese Reiki. We are also currently training with Jikiden Reiki teachers .

The heart centered images you see atop our pages are of Kannon, the Japanese Goddess of Compassion on the left and Kwan Yin, the Chinese Goddess of Compassion to your right. The middle image is of a tide pool washing into volcanic black lava near the City of Refuge, near Kona on the island of Hawaii. The sun reflected in the water, the stones under the water bounded by images reflecting the heart, help us remember the three primary energy centers in the Japanese energy system, earth, heaven and heart ki.

Please, take time to explore the different pages on our website. We offer Reiki steeped in the rich history of the non-western Reiki experience. Western Reiki is, for the most part, focused on Reiki as a tool for healing others. Our tradition focuses first on building the strength of the earth center of the body, the hara. Our connection with heaven energy and spirit is cultivated through exercises and meditations. Finally, both meet graciously in the heart center. It is powerful, simple and grounded.
